In the event of natural disasters, such as, but not limited to: tornadoes, flash floods, snow storms, or blizzards, all students and personnel will remain in the building unless evacuated by any state or federal agency that determined that the surroundings or the building is unsafe. All attempts will be made to contact parents in the event of such circumstances.

Safety
Katie’s Kiddie A-cat-emy is a drug, alcohol, and weapon-free zone.
Sign-In/Sign-out
Parents are required to sign their children in and out each day. Signing in and out is required by state licensing, is essential for attendance, and the center’s information database in case of emergency.
Drop-in Policy
Priority is given to siblings of children enrolled at the center full time. The cost is $40 per day. A 12 hour notice is required to ensure the facility is adequately staffed.
Persons Authorized to Pick Up Children
Katie’s Kiddie A-cat-emy will only release children to adults to whom parents have given authorization. A file will be maintained on each enrolled child with the names of the individuals whom parents have authorized to pick up the child. Parents may give verbal permission over the phone for someone to pick up their child in an emergency situation. Please let us know if someone other than the parents will be picking up your child when you drop them off.
Termination Notice
A two week advanced notice prior to removing your child from enrollment is required. Failure to give adequate notice is the parent’s financial responsibility for those two weeks.
The director of Katie’s Kiddie A-cat-emy reserves the right to remove a child’s placement in the center. In the event that the child’s placement is terminated prior to the end of the month, the balance of the months tuition shall be returned.

Parents acknowledge that should their child exhibit aggressive behavior or behavior that the director deems uncontrollable or unsafe, they will be contacted by the director and asked to pick up their child immediately. If the behavior continues, the child may be asked to leave Katie’s Kiddie A-cat-emy.
All parties agree that the first two weeks of the school are provided on a trial basis.
